The Grace Chemise hugs and supports Danielle as she settles into a precious, private, quiet moment ~
Our “Your Chakra Is Showing” influencer series highlights remarkable women chosen for their unique voice and commitment to female empowerment. Our champions demonstrate feminine strength, personal growth, and a commitment to themselves and the planet every day.
Danielle Warford is the powerful force behind the Instagram page and website both aptly named "The Wild Feminine". With a steadily growing 108k followers, it's clear that her message is resonating with a large audience, all heeding the call to join her tribe. And it's no wonder when you see that she advocates self love, acceptance and positivity in every instagram post and brand she introduces on her ~wildly~ popular website blog. Other support she offers her tribe comes in the form of her skills as a tarot reader, Reiki Master, yoga teacher, crystal collector and friend. She is deeply passionate about the earth, crystals, yoga, her own sacred feminine, personal growth, and spiritual growth. Absolutely a woman after our own heart.
What made you decide that you wanted to support women with your voice?
I’ve always felt a disconnection from other women, and I never knew why. I had very few girl friends growing up, and always felt out of place with other women. Reflecting on why that was, it came to me that I had a fear of judgement from other women, and felt the societal forces causing me to be judgmental towards them. I wanted to reconstruct how I viewed other women- I wanted to find a tribe of like minded ladies, and that’s why I created The Wild Feminine.
Was there a specific moment when you said, “I’ve got to do something now”?
I don’t think so. I think it came to me when I began to believe in myself more, felt comfortable with who I am, and was willing to share that with others.
Was there a time in your life when you needed support?
Of course! Always! As humans, I feel we need constant support from others through small, kind gestures and friendship.
What was it?
I needed support especially when I was 23, I was going through a divorce, and noticed all my girl friends had fled as well around that time. I felt incredibly lonely and truly needed support but found I had very little.
Where did you find that support?
I found that support from online communities which is also what inspired me to take my platform online.
Did you intentionally decide to be an influencer or did it happen as a result of something you did?
I did not intentionally decide to be an influencer, I still find that word to feel funny when I say it. I just started a page reflecting my interests in yoga, spirituality, and women’s relationships and it all fell into place.
What does it mean to you to be an influencer?
It’s humbling! Being an influencer was never my intention when I started my page and brand, but I’m embracing it and it has humbled me to meet such beautiful people.
How would you describe power for a woman?
Knowing who you are. And braving the journey and facing it head on when you’re on your way to finding out who that is.
Do you think vulnerability is an asset or a detractor?
An asset, absolutely! Being vulnerable under the right circumstances is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world.
How do you structure your day?
I have three kids, so structure sometimes goes out the window! When they are in school is when I focus most of my attention on work, instagram, or self care.
How important is factoring “me” time?
Very important! I try to find an hour of “me” time each day.
What does “me time” look like for you?
Lots of baths! Lots of music! And lots of stretching!
Where do you look for energetic support?
My community online! In real life, I’m quite introverted and don’t engage as much as I should- but online, I’m far more open, as I can connect with like minded people.
How important is buying with eco-awareness?
To be honest, very important, and this is something I need to work harder on, myself!
How do you think we can impact this planet if we bought with preserving it in mind?
We each can make a difference, even if it’s small. So, doing your part is necessary. Thanks for the reminder as I’ll be working on it, too!
What are your top 3 tips for staying happy, whole and successful?
1. Have a daily yoga practice
2. (Fully Believing) Others opinions of you *do not matter*
3. Spend time in nature
What is your wish for the woman that you support?
That they all learn to feel complete just as they are.
